Clear prices, in two steps

First a callout to come out and diagnose, then an itemised labour and materials quote. Accept the quote and the callout is waived.

How a job is priced

  1. STEP 1 · CALLOUT

    The fundi shows their callout

It covers travel and diagnosing the problem. You see it and agree to it before they leave.

  2. ON SITE

    Diagnosis

The fundi works out what's wrong and what it will take to fix.

  3. STEP 2 · QUOTE

    Labour + materials

Labour and each material are listed on separate lines, so you can see what you're paying for.

  4. DECIDE

    Accept or decline

Accept: the callout is waived, the work starts, and you pay when it's done. Decline: you pay only the callout.

The waive rule. If you accept the repair quote after the diagnosis, you don't pay the callout.
For fundis

How the 10% works

Joining is free, and there's no monthly fee. We take 10% of the fundi's charged callout or labour, and only on completed jobs. There's no fee on materials.

Here's a worked example with round numbers. It only shows how the maths works and isn't a price guide.

Worked example (round numbers, not real prices)

Labour quoted by the fundiR1,000
MaterialsR500
Calloutwaived (quote accepted)
Homeowner paysR1,500
Platform fee: 10% of labour− R100
Fundi receivesR1,400

If the homeowner declines the quote, the fundi keeps their callout minus 10%.
